Philips Avent need not any further introduction perhaps - it is one of the oldest pioneer of baby products in the baby market, having produced many that are bestsellers worldwide.
To name a few, bottles, baby bottle warmer and sterilizer are some of its most popular items in the feeding department. This time around though, we're going to review its Double Electric Breast Pumps.
Main Functions in Detail
What we like in particular, and we've mentioned this in our Top 10 Best review here, is that you don't have to lean forward to pump/express.
This is all thanks to the unique design - an angled neck of the breast pump so that you get to sit up straight, and milk will still flow straight into the bottle.
Speaking of which, there are 3 expression settings for you to choose from - low, medium and high. Simply press a button and the breast pump will start its gentle stimulation mode to help get your milk flowing after which you can adjust the suction level yourself.
For further comfort, 2 (25mm) massage cushions with comfort petals are provided to gently stimulate milk flow by mimicking your baby's natural suckling patterns and thereby help with milk letdown.
For additional suction (because you know, not every expressing session is the same), 2 (27mm) power cushions are provided too.
We like how the massage cushions have a soft and velvety texture that not only feels warm and comfortable against the skin, but help to stimulate milk flow as well.
One thing to note though, is that you are not advised to use it as a single pump.
Although you can certainly do so, you will notice a significant drop in terms of suction power so this is something where it may be inferior to other models, such as this and this which allow both single and double pumping without compromising on power.
Nevertheless, if you're in the mind of getting a double electric breast pump, this shouldn't be much of a deal breaker.
Most would have prefer double pumping anyway - it works quickly by allowing you to pump simultaneously from both breasts. And we are all about more milk in less time, aren't we?
And while we're on the topic of time-saving, know that this breast pump is designed with only a few parts so it is very easy to clean, not to mention intuitive to assemble.

Conclusion
With a brand history of over thirty years, the Philips Avent Double Electric Breast Pump is one electric breast pump that you can trust and rely.
The brand worked hand-in-hand with healthcare professionals, clinicians and moms to come up with its baby feeding products, and this double electric breast pump is no exception.
Confident enough to offer a 2-year warranty period, it goes to show you how confident the brand is on this product.
Awesome post.
